Strategic & Tactical Planning

Strategic and Tactical planning is necessary to make sure all the members of your organization are working towards the same goals. It is also allows for the assessment and adjustment of an organizations direction in response to a changing environment

In essence, we are defining what an organization is, what it does, and why it does it, with a focus on the future.

Strategic planning deals with the larger picture of the organization, defining the elements necessary to accomplish a goal. Tactical planning deals with the details of how to accomplish the various strategic elements in order to achieve that goal. Allen Ortiz works closely with clients to do both - identifying where they want their organization to go, and how to get there by being clear about the organization's objectives, being aware of the organization's resources, and incorporating both into being consciously responsive to a dynamic environment

The most appropriate of the following approaches will be used as the foundation for developing the planning process for the specific situation of our clients organization. .

Goals-based planning starts with focus on the organization's mission/vision/values, goals to work toward the mission, strategies to achieve the goals, and leads to action planning.

Issues-based planning starts by examining issues facing the organization and strategies to address those issues, leading to the formulation of action plans.

Organic planning starts by articulating the organization's vision and values and then the development of action plans to achieve the vision while adhering to those values.
